Halftone – A Previous Discussion About Making an Object is a beautifully intimate recording from improvisers Caitlin Alais Callahan (double bass), Tina Hitchens (flute), Yvonna Magda (violin), and Hannah Marshall (cello). Recorded in Bristol by Nick Earle in 2019 and released in 2020, the tape presents four evocative pieces full of texture, space, and lyrical interplay. Presented on cassette (25:22 mins) with original artwork by Hannah Marshall, this release is a heartfelt tribute to Keith Tippett.
